Hinge Hardware and installation options:
Option 1 (not recommended): use small set screws (included) to secure hinges. This is NOT the preferred method as it allows hinge to slip and easily loosens.
Option 2 (good): Aluminum Rivets. This provides a decent hold and the aluminum rivets are easy to install compared to the stainless rivets. 3/16″ stubby drill bit included for installation.
Option 3 (better): Stainless Steel Rivets. These provide better holding power than the aluminum rivets, but are more difficult to install if using regular duty rivet hand tool. 3/16″ stubby drill bit included for installation.
Option 4 (best): 1/4-28 x 1” Stainless Steel Button Screws. The screw goes through the center of the tubing and pinches on the backside. This is a great way to install hinges and also allows easy removal for servicing or replacement. Using a small amount of grease or anti-seize lubricant is suggested to prevent galling (bind up). 19/64″ stubby drill bit included for installation.
